If you like white castle, you will absolutely love this!
So easy and so delicious!
* White Castle Egg Pie *
1/3 cup mayo
1lb ground beef
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbl minced dried onions (this is important for the white castle flavor)
1 cup shredded cheese (any cheese will work, feel free to use more!)
Brown ground beef (don’t drain grease) and add salt, pepper, garlic powder and minced dried onions. Stir and cover to simmer over low heat for 10-15 min (this makes it super tender and hella tasty!)
Spread over bottom of greased 9×13 casserole dish.
*TIP – for some reason, the only thing that ensures this doesn’t stick in my ceramic dish is bacon grease
Sprinkle meat with 1/2 cup of cheese.
Beat eggs and mayo with a healthy pinch of salt and pepper and pour over meat mixture/cheese.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
Bake at 350 for 25 min and let sit for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve with mustard and dill pickles or relish
Also fantastic served with French Onion Dip!
